These terms are between you and business name and ABN ("Songfish", "we"). By using the Songfish app, the teacher dashboard or this website, you agree to them.

What Songfish is

Songfish is a study aid for music theory. It follows the AMEB Theory of Music syllabus, but it is independent: it is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Australian Music Examinations Board, and we can't promise any exam result.

Accounts

• You need an account, with an email address you can receive mail at.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Minimum age and parent or guardian consent: to be decided.

Free use and subscriptions

• Free accounts can do one lesson and five review cards a day.
• Songfish All Access removes those limits for every grade. It is sold in the app as a monthly or yearly subscription, at the price shown at the time of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple account. You can cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
• Refunds for purchases made through Apple are handled by Apple.
• Teacher and school plans are billed through Stripe. Their prices and terms are still to be set.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Starfish, seashells and the aquarium

Starfish, seashells and aquarium animals are part of the app. They have no cash value, can't be bought with money, exchanged or transferred, and may change as the app changes.

Teachers and schools

• Share your class code only with your own students.
• Use what you see about students only to help teach them.
• If you join a school on Songfish, the other teachers and the owner of that school can see your linked students.

Using Songfish fairly

Don't copy or resell our lessons and questions, try to get into other people's accounts or data, or interfere with the service. We may suspend an account that does.

Our content

The lessons, questions, artwork and software belong to us or our licensors. The music font Bravura and the fonts Baloo 2 and Nunito are used under the SIL Open Font License.

If something goes wrong

We work to keep Songfish accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, and there may be mistakes or interruptions. Limits of liability: to be written with legal advice.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email first. These terms are governed by the laws of state, Australia. Questions: support@songfish.com.au.
